Swedish waste transportation permit
In Sweden, both cross-border shipments and shipments of waste (inland) require a Swedish waste transportation license from the Local Authority. The license presented on this page applies to the transport of waste as a carrier, ie in this case the waste is not the property of the supplier, it is only transported on the basis of an order.

Licensing of hazardous - non - hazardous waste
A Swedish waste transportation license can be applied for for both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Within this, it is possible to apply for all wastes or to define the codes of the wastes to be licensed separately.
Documents required for authorization:
- EU transport license in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1072/2009
- Homeland waste shipment permit
- Compulsory insurance
- Liability insurance
Hazardous waste
Special documents are required for permitting hazardous wastes:
- Drivers should have an ADR license
- A "special ADR permit" for the vehicle (s) is necessary in the case of tanks
Deadline - issuance of a permit
The authority will issue the permit within ~ 2-3 weeks from the submission. The permit is also sent in Swedish and English (by e-mail and / or post). The issued license has no expiration date, it is valid until revoked.
